<p dir="ltr">Talk<i> 6. 12th February 2025 - Lifelong learning – How the continual renewal of </i><i>skills benefits us all.</i></p><p dir="ltr"><i>In this talk we will highlight the key role that unions play in providing access to </i><i>learning and skills to adults in their working lives and beyond. Sarah, Stevie and </i><i>Jenny will share some examples where access to learning for personal and </i><i>professional development (e.g. within health and social care) has a positive impact to </i><i>individuals, families, workplaces and the wider community, where lifelong learning is </i><i>vital at any age.</i></p><p><br></p><p dir="ltr"><i>Sarah Hayes </i><i>– Head of Learning and Organising Services, UNISON, the UK’s </i><i>largest union, representing more than 1.3 million members who work in public </i><i>services and utilities. Sarah leads the UNISON College, which provides learning </i><i>opportunities for all members across the union.</i></p><p dir="ltr"><i>Stevie Milward </i><i>is a Workforce Learning Development Organiser within UNISON and organises</i><i> learning across the UK.</i></p><p dir="ltr"><i>Jenny Griffin </i><i>is a trade union organiser and part of the learning team with UNISON </i><i>Cymru/Wales. She is a trained tutor, project manager, and union activist with a </i><i>background in learning, education, and equality.</i></p>
