The Improving Gender Attitudes Transition and Education Outcomes (IGATE) project’s whole school development programme set out to empower learners in Zimbabwe with strong foundations in literacy and numeracy. The programme uses supported open learning approaches for teacher development. Teachers learn by carrying out new activities in their classrooms, guided by professional development modules and videos. This video was filmed ‘by teachers for teachers’ in a primary school in Mangwe District in 2019 to help teachers try out new ways of assessing students’ learning.
The whole school development programme was designed by The Open University and delivered in partnership with World Vision Zimbabwe and Care International, Zimbabwe
