'Afghanistan': Poem by Yalda Aminy calls for tolerance, mutual respect and an end to discrimination
Yalda Aminy reading for Wales PEN Cymru on Human Rights Day - Remember the Writers of Afghanistan.
This is one of two videos made by Afghan poet Yalda Aminy from Afghanistan. Yalda is one of the young women who can no longer contribute to her country’s future. Yalda submitted her reading to the Human Rights Day event hosted by Wales PEN Cymru urging people not to forget the writers of Afghanistan.
The translations on this video do not claim to be fully accurate but are sufficient to give a sense of the meaning behind her heartfelt poem.
