This video highlights examples of the atrocities occurring in Kakuma Camp in Kenya against the LGBT community there.

In the words of John Ssenyonjo, Human Rights Activist in Kakuma:

“This is a protest in Kakuma in September 2020. The speaker is called Kagarura Gilbert, our spokesperson for block 13 LGBT. We were protesting virtually on Facebook because of the continued attacks, threats, rapes, sleeping outside, discrimination, persecution and violence. The silence plus the inactivity of the UNHCR to protect our lives as LGBT was the main issue”.
