Joy is an undocumented migrant living in the Netherlands. She said: “I decided to go somewhere after work. The weather was warm and humid. The traffic was terrible. Many people went to the beach, but I preferred to go into the woods which was safer and more relaxing. I felt more secure being surrounded by trees than by people. I was sure 100% that trees had no coronavirus”.

-----

This material is part of the Covid Chronicles from the Margins project, funded by The Open University and The Hague.
