Covid Chronicles: A message from Nicola Sturgeon to a Syrian New Scot
Nicola Sturgeon wishes Adnan Shamdin’s mother a speedy recovery after she has contracted Covid-19.
Adnan is a Syrian Kurdish refugee who was resettled in Scotland in 2017. Part of Adnan’s family is seeking refuge in Iraqi Kurdistan where the situation remains challenging for many refugees due to the impact of covid-19. The family are from the North East of Syria.
