DEPA – South Africa-Mozambique PhotoVoice Images
The primary methodology for this project was storytelling. This was done in different formats with participants being asked to tell stories using the format they felt most appropriate to them. The project encouraged this storytelling using image and, specifically, the photovoice methodology. The 18 participants undertook a days training in the methodology.
The 32 files in this folder are the images that were captured representing the themes of peace and conflict
The South Africa-Mozambique Project was a commissioned project in Phase 2 of DEPA (Decolonising Education for Peace in Africa). DEPA was a 4-year project funded by the Arts and Humanities Council (AHRC) addressing the question: What are the different knowledges and values underpinning peace and how can these practices be connected and compared across countries to create curriculum content and mode of delivery in informal and formal settings, Secondary and Higher Education (HE), in order to decolonise peace education?
