The paper (published in Citizenship Studies Journal (Taylor and Francis)) focuses on cohabiting and married Finnish and English couples
in multi-nationality relationships living in the United Kingdom. It
demonstrates how Brexit has been instrumental in constructing ideas of
citizenship and belonging because of its political narrative. Home is a
relevant sphere where discussions and negotiations take place on the status of
multi-nationality citizenship in terms of marriage, separation and immigration.
The data was collected through questionnaires with some follow up with telephone conversations. (The consents were requested by the researcher and granted by the participant).
