Retrospective analysis of PANS data

<p dir="ltr">Dr Tim Ubhi is a Consultant Paediatrician and Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health. Dr Ubhi is a in Paediatric Acute Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome & Paediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcus (PANDAS) and is a founding member of the UK PANS PANDAS Physicians Network and sits on national groups developing treatment guidelines for the UK alongside many of the major Royal Colleges. Tim is recognised as an expert in PANS PANDAS and has treated over 1500 patients over the past 8 years, he founded the Children's e-Hospital in 2015 and also opened The London PANS Clinic in 2024. Tim has been collecting data on PANS PANDAS through the e-Hospital since 2017 using a standard procedure. This includes a baseline pre-treatment measurement and post treatment response follow up at 2, 6 and 12 weeks. Patients consent to their anonymised data being used to help with audit and research.</p><p dir="ltr">The analysis that will be undertaken is a retrospective analysis of the response to treatment for patients who have consented since 2017. The analysis will be carried out by Prof Rachel Hillam and Dr Colette Christiansen from the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the Open University. The analysis will be undertaken on a completely anonymised data set which will be shared with the OU.</p><p dir="ltr">HREC approval gained in 14/7/2025 HREC 2025-0916-1</p><p dir="ltr">Data Protection impact ref 1386-2025</p>
