Data Management Plan: Heritage, Identity and Memory: Northumbrian women and the 1984-85 miners’ strike

The project is a qualitative study looking at how Northumbrian women make sense of the impact of the miners’ strike and its aftermath on their identity. It aims to look at the role of nostalgia in recollections of the strike, how autobiographical memories of the strike align with official representations of the strike and examine the identity work which takes place when engaging which heritage sites which portray painful and contested memories.
